Roald Dahl Day Competition

We're big fans of Roald Dahl...
Which is why, to mark Roald Dahl Day 2025, we ran an exciting competition for our schools across:
- West Yorkshire
- South Yorkshire
- The East Midlands.
For this competition, we invited pupils to participate in a celebration of one of the world's best-loved authors, whose stories continue to inspire imagination, creativity, and a lifelong love of reading.
We were delighted with the enthusiastic response from schools across the regions, and we are thrilled to help so many children engage with Roald Dahl's timeless characters and tales.
After much anticipation, we chose our winners and delivered special book sets to each of the winning schools, which were:
- Outwood Primary Academy Lofthouse Gate in West Yorkshire, where the book set was presented by Sam Barraclough at Trust Education to Eva, who is the school's literacy ambassador.
- Hexthorpe Primary Academy in South Yorkshire, where the books were presented to a little girl who has put in so much effort since starting back in September, particularly in reading. She had also read the most for homework during the week we presented her with the books.
- Cuckney C of E Primary School in the East Midlands, where the Headteacher, Lisa Crossland, was thrilled to receive the book set, which will be put to good use and enjoyed by the pupils of the school.
At Trust Education, we are proud to continue supporting schools and inspiring the next generation of readers. We hope that all our winners will love the books and enjoy the unforgettable stories of Roald Dahl for many years to come.
Congratulations again to all our winners, and thank you to every school that took part.
